Eight state parks in western North Carolina remain closed until further notice.
The following parks have at least partially reopened: Crowders Mountain, Gorges, Grandfather Mountain, Lake Norman, and Rendezvous Mountain. Visit ncparks.gov/closures for more information on the status of facilities.
The mountain bike trails at Medoc Mountain State Park are closed on Saturday, 10/19.
A 5K race will be utilizing the trails from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Medoc Mountain State Park will be undergoing major construction in 2024.
The campground and day use area at Medoc are closed from June 3 through approximately March of 2025. This includes the picnic shelter and playground. Renovations are underway.
