Temporary Employment
Temporary and seasonal jobs are available at most state parks and recreation areas, with varying durations of employment to include more opportunities during our peak season. A variety of opportunities are available, including park attendants, lifeguards, office assistants, naturalists, maintenance workers, and grounds keepers.

Job Information
Mayo River State Park has a general utility worker position currently open, with an employment term of 11 months.
GUWs work 40 hours per week, with weekend and holiday work required.
The pay is $15 per hour.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for facilities and grounds maintenance, including but not limited to:
- cleaning restrooms, campsites and park office
- emptying trash cans and picking up litter
- mowing grass and weed eating
- maintaining trails
- assisting visitors
- performing other duties to assist in necessary park operations.
Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants must have a valid driver's license. Great candidates must enjoy working with the public.
