Gorges State Park has mostly reopened as of 1:00PM on Monday, January 13th.
The campground, picnic shelters, and Chestnut Mountain Road remain closed at this time. Please refer to the park page for future updates.
Most state parks in western North Carolina have reopened at least partially.
Chimney Rock, Mount Mitchell, and South Mountains are closed long-term until further notice. Check park pages for the most up-to-date status of facilities.
