Man in scary costume hanging onto a cannon at Fort Macon

Fear at the Fort, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

-

Please note: This event is happening on Friday, October 25, and Saturday, October 26. Each tickets covers one event day only.

The Friends of Fort Macon invite you to experience the spooky, scary side of Fort Macon as they transform several of the casemates into a walk-through haunted house as the sun goes down. Creatures and ghouls alike will be awaiting your arrival.

This event is intended to be scary, and the recommended age is 13 years old or older. Please note: fog machines, strobe lights, intense sounds and sudden movements will all be a part of this event.

Walk-through times will vary from 20 to 25 minutes and will be no longer than a quarter of a mile.

This is a ticketed event at $10 per person. Proceeds will go to the Friends of Fort Macon. Beginning on October 1, tickets can be purchased at the park visitor center during regular hours, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We recommend purchasing your ticket early, but tickets will also be sold onsite on the days of the event.  The park gate will close promptly at 8:30.  Anyone in line at 8:30 will be allowed to go through, but no one arriving after the closing time will be admitted.

Event will be held rain or shine. Do not touch the actors and props during the event. No weapons, smoking, alcohol, lighters, or flash photography. Violators of these rules will be escorted out and will not be provided a refund.
