2024 is the Year of the Bear in North Carolina State Parks! North Carolina is home to many black bears who live in the mountains and along our coasts. Join a Naturalist for a short interactive chat about black bears followed by a one mile hike to discuss black bear habitats.

Meet at the Fews Ford Visitor Contact Station classroom at 6131 Cole Mill Road, the third parking lot on the right past the entry gate. Wear hiking shoes and bring water, sunblock, and bug spray.

Spaces are limited, and registration is required. To sign up, call (984) 250-1370 or click the Register button to email eno.river@ncparks.gov. Please include the number of guests in your party and a phone number where you can be reached if the event is changed or canceled.
