All open fires, including campfires, are prohibited at all state parks until further notice. There is currently a statewide burn ban in place due to high risk of wildfire. Call 911 to report a wildfire.

Kerr Lake SRA will have ongoing extensive construction to improve campgrounds and restrooms.
Beginning August 1, 2026, JC Cooper, Nutbush Area 1(North), Nutbush Area 3&4(South) and Hibernia will be closed for the season. Feel free to email the park with any questions you may have.
JC Cooper campground will be closed for septic renovations December, 2025 - January, 2026.
