Join a Ranger to hike three miles to the site of a cemetery of enslaved people. We will discuss statistics and laws related to the practice of slavery in North Carolina, and this hike does feature discussions of racial violence and content suited to mature audiences. Please attend with an appropriate and respectful attitude.

Meet at the Fews Ford loop parking lot. All attendees must be 10 years of age or older, and minors must be accompanied by a guardian. There will be discussions of racial violence and enslavement and off-trail hiking, hiking in full sun, and one significant creek crossing both entering and exiting the wilderness. Wear hiking shoes, and bring bug spray, sun protection, and water!
