Shinrin Yoku: Forest Journaling

-
Register

The term Shinrin Yoku emerged in 1980s Japan as a forest bathing movement to help people reconnect with nature as technology became more prominent in society. Join a Naturalist for a one and a half mile, fully clothed, mindful forest hike with moments for solo reflection and meditation in the quarry and beside the river. Please bring a journal, writing utensil, and seat.

Meet at Occoneechee Mountain's Eno Mountain Road parking area. Wear hiking shoes and bring water, sunblock, and bug spray.

Spaces are limited, so registration is required. To sign up, call (984) 250-1370 or click the Register button to email eno.river@ncparks.gov. Include the number of guests in your party and a phone number where you can be reached if the event is changed or canceled.
