Calling all women to get out in nature for a hike!
FLANO will sponsor a Spring Hike for senior women at 10 am Wednesday, May 14, run by Julie Higgie, retired environmental educator, at Lake Norman State Park.
The group will meet at the Lake Shore Trailhead off Short Leaf Drive in the park. The hike, geared toward women who want to walk slowly and enjoy fellowship in nature, should take less than 2 hours. We will look for spring plants and nesting birds.
Hiking sticks and sturdy shoes are recommended. Meet at the Lake Shore Trailhead.
