Join Park Rangers and staff for a moderate 1.5-mile hike around the Rumbling Bald Loop Trail.
The trail meanders through a beautiful hardwood forest along the south face of Rumbling Bald Mountain, revealing huge boulder fields and cliffs, lending itself to being a premier winter climbing area in the southeast. The focus of this hike will be reflection in consideration of the loss and damage to the park, gorge, and the surrounding areas of WNC.
Please note that due to the road conditions post Hurricane Helene, attendees will have to come from US 64/74-A from Rutherfordton or from NC-9 from Columbus
