Jockey's Ridge State Park is celebrating Native Plants Week 2023 with a visit from First Lady Kristin Cooper, Audubon North Carolina, and Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Secretary Reid Wilson.
Eight state parks in western North Carolina remain closed until further notice.
The following parks have at least partially reopened: Crowders Mountain, Gorges, Grandfather Mountain, Lake Norman, and Rendezvous Mountain. Visit ncparks.gov/closures for more information on the status of facilities.
