Carvers Creek State Park
In 2023, we will explore the trails you can find in Carvers Creek State Park, give you some tips for enjoying your hikes, and pass on some of the wisdom our ranger staff has accumulated over the years. Our first exploration will be the 2-mile-long Rockefeller Loop Trail at the Long Valley Farm Access.

The campground at Gorges State Park will have five camper cabins, 14 campsites, and 16 tent campsites, along with a modern bathhouse.
Crowders Mountain State Park
Ranger Daniel Tenney at Crowders Mountain State Park received the Governor's Award for Excellence in the Outstanding Government Service category for his work as a park ranger and his volunteer duties as firearms instructor for the N.C. Division of Parks and Recreation.
