Facility: Thirty-three canoe-in and Primitive (Backpack) campsites. Each site has a picnic table and
fire ring with grill cover.Location: Wagoner Access, US 221 Access and Alleghany Access (canoe in only.)Accommodates: Up to 6 people, each.Nearby Amenities: Bathroom facilities with hot-water showers are at Wagoner Road and US 221 access
areas. Pit toilets and a pump for drinking water are at Alleghany County Access.Available: Year-round.Reservations Required: No.Accessible: No.
Facility: One primitive group campsite. Campsite may also be reached by canoe.Location: Wagoner Access.Accommodates: The minimum number for the site is 14 with a maximum of 40. The group site is

deducted from your total fee when you arrive and pay for the site.Accessible: No.

Forms of Payment: Cash, checks, travelers checks. At this time, only Carolina Beach, Mount Mitchell
and Morrow Mountain State Parks accept Visa or Mastercard.
A $25 fee will be charged for all returned checks.
