Mountain Bike Trails Are Open Today. The Tindo (beginner) and both Wimba Loops (intermediate) are open today. Accordingly, riders should contact the park prior to arrival to confirm that the trails are open.
Hiking the mountain bike trails is permitted whenever the trails are open. For the safety of all trail users, hikers must maintain vigilance for bikers and yield whenever mountain bikes are passing.
Starting Jan. 1, 2015, the travel route for all mountain bike trails at Lake James State Park will be reversed to reduce trail damage and add interest for frequent riders. Please follow all directional signs when using the trails.

Please note that the park now closes at 6 p.m. (December - February). It is unlawful to be in the park after hours.
