Serious plant pests can be introduced into our parks by campers who bring in firewood. To prevent this, many of our parks sell firewood. For campers who choose to bring in their own firewood, please use wood harvested from a source local to the park. Campers should not bring firewood from outside of North Carolina. Learn more

Boat Ramp/Campsite Closure Due To Flooding ... details ±

NOTICE:

Due to Flooding the following boat ramps are closed: JC Cooper at Satterwhite Point, Nutbush North and Nutbush South.

Due to the flooding, sites 37,38,39,40,41 at JC Cooper are closed and sites 51,52,53,54,55,56,57,59,61 at Nutbush are closed.

Be advised that Nutbush road bridge is under water. Satterwhite Point/J.C. Cooper is only accessible via I-85 exit 217 and Nutbush is only accessible via I-85 exit 214.

• Facility: Drive-to campsites (non-electric). Most campsites have a picnic table, fire ring or grill, and tent pad.
• Location: Bullocksville, County Line, Henderson Point, Hibernia, Kimball Point, Nutbush and Satterwhite Point.
• Accommodates: A maximum of six people per site. Limits of (1) RV and (1) tent, (1) pop-up and (1) tent, or (2) tents per site.
• Nearby Amenities: Water, restrooms, shower facilities, playgrounds, public telephones, and RV dump stations.
• Available: Year-round at Nutbush and Satterwhite Point; April through the end of September at Bullocksville, County Line and Henderson Point and April through the end of October at Hibernia and Kimball Point.
• Reservations Required: Reservations are strongly advised. Any unreserved sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Accessible: No.

• Facility: Drive-to campsites with electric and water hook-ups. Most campsites have a picnic table, fire ring or grill, and tent pad. Many of sites have hookups for water directly on the site, but some require up to 100 feet of hose to reach the water hookup. Electric hookups are available at or near the site.
• Location: Bullocksville, County Line, Henderson Point, Hibernia, Kimball Point, Nutbush and Satterwhite Point.
• Accommodates: A maximum of six people per site. Limits of (1) RV and (1) tent, (1) pop-up and (1) tent, or (2) tents per site. All camping equipment must be inside timbers on timbered sites and fires inside of metal grills where provided.
• Nearby Amenities: Water, restrooms, shower facilities, playgrounds, public telephones, and RV dump stations.
• Available: Year-round at Nutbush and Satterwhite Point; April through the end of September at Bullocksville, County Line and Henderson Point and April through the end of October at Hibernia and Kimball Point.

• Accessible: Each area has at least one accessible site.

• Nearby Amenities: Drinking water and restrooms.
• Available: Satterwhite Point is open year round. The Henderson Point shelters are open April through the end of October. However, they are available through reservation year round.

• Accessible: No.
