Bear Island ferry service operates in April Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, hourly at the bottom of the hour from the mainland beginning at 9:30 am, and at the top of the hour from Bear Island with the last ferry leaving the island at 5:00 pm. Bear Island bathhouse facilities including drinking water, outdoor showers and restroom facilities are open daily, indoor showers are open to campers from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. each day. Lifeguards not on duty and concession stand not open until Memorial Day weekend. PLEASE bring any soft drinks and snacks with you and use extreme caution while in the water. Annual ferry passes for 2015 are available for $50.00 at the park office. Contact the park office at email@example.com or 910.326.4881 with questions.
