Bear Island ferry service operates in May Wednesday through Sunday, hourly at the bottom of the hour; from the mainland beginning at 9:30 am, and at the top of the hour from Bear Island with the last ferry leaving the island at 5:00 pm. Bear Island bathhouse facilities including drinking water, outdoor showers and restroom facilities are open daily, indoor showers are open to campers from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. each day. Lifeguards will not be on duty and the concession stand will not open until Memorial Day weekend. PLEASE bring soft drinks and snacks to the island with you and use extreme caution while in the water. Annual ferry passes for the 2015 are available for $50.00 at the park office, please click the facilities and fees link to the left for a complete list of ferry ticket prices.
