BW Wells Area will close June 15, 2008 and will reopen August 29, 2008. Group sites 12, 13 and 14 will remain closed into 2009 for site restoration. Sandling Beach will close October 13 for the winter and will reopen April 1, 2009. Hollypoint and Shinleaf will close for the winter November 3 and reopen March 16, 2009

Dump Station for RVs
for non-campers --- $15 (Note: some parks do not allow non-campers to use dump station facilities.

Improved Group Camping

Maximum of 50 --- $50/day
Maximum of 100 --- $105/day
Entrance Fee
Car --- $5.00/day
Senior Citizen (62 or older) --- $3/day
Bus or Van --- $10/day
Annual Pass (valid anytime within the calendar year) --- $40
Charged daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day; charged on weekends and holidays in April, May and September.
Pass holders are entitled to an unlimited number of visits without paying the usual $5/day admission fee.
Entrance fees are charged to supplement operational costs and help maintain and improve the areas for
visitors.
Picnic Shelters
Shelters close 30 minutes prior to gate closing.
(Available by reservation. Available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis, if not
reserved.)
3 - 4 Tables --- $40/day
5 - 8 Tables --- $60/day
9 - 12 Tables --- $85/day
Forms of Payment: Cash, checks, travelers checks. At this time, only Carolina Beach, Mount Mitchell
and Morrow Mountain State Parks accept Visa or Mastercard.
A $25 fee will be charged for all returned checks.
