... details ±Occoneechee State Natural Area will be closed on Friday, September 3rd, 2010 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Duke Energy will be removing several large trees on Virginia Cates Road at the entrance to Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area. The closure is due to safety concerns and to protect park visitors.
