The North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreation and its State Trails Program are pleased
to offer two (2) grant programs. Governmental agencies and non-profit organizations are
encouraged to apply for grants for trail construction and maintenance projects, for trail
side facilities and land acquisition projects. We wish you the best with your application.
Recreational Trails Program
The Division of Parks and Recreation and the State Trails Program are instituting a '2012 Federal
Recreational Trails Program Pre-Application' process. All agencies and non-profit organizations
interested in applying for 2012 Recreational Trails Program (RTP) funding are required to
complete and submit the online pre-application by December 30, 2011. The 2012 Federal
Recreational Trails Program Pre-Application is available through the link below.
2012 Pre-Application Instructions:
1. Dowload the latest version of Adobe Acrobat FREE at http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/
2. Download the RTP Pre-Application (Click Here)
3. When the Acrobat Webpage opens, select the green Download button.
4. Download and Save the Pre-Application PDF file on your computer.
5. Complete the Pre-Application. You can use Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader to fill in this form.
6. When you are finished, save your work on your computer and click the purple Submit button located on the top right side of the application form.
