Introduction
A total of 44 state recreation areas, parks and natural areas have been proposed as additions to the
current parks system. It is a dynamic list and since 2002, when it was created, some new parks have
already been added. They are given in the menu to the left and on the 'Find a park' dropdowns throughtout
this site. Please click the links above to view the lists of proposed additions to the New Parks for a
New Century. Numbers on the list refer to the proposed additions' locations on the map.
