The Parks and Recreation Authority chairman sends letters announcing the beginning of the funding cycle to local governments. Electronic copies of the PARTF application can be downloaded by selecting 'Application Forms and Assistance' from the menu on the left. Local governments should contact their regional park and recreation consultants to receive an application. Select 'RSS & Other Links' from the menu on the left to visit the Recreation Resources Service (RRS) website, which includes contact information for regional consultants.

The PARTF staff conducts a workshop for local governments to explain the application process and requirements. The workshop is presented simultaneously at University of North Carolina video conference sites. Attendance is recommended but not required. A videotape of the workshop can be purchased for a fee. To reserve a seat, please register visiting the Recreation Resources Service (RRS) website

Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. to the applicant's regional consultant at Recreation Resources Service (RRS). Only information received by the deadline will be accepted.

The Parks and Recreation Authority selects grant recipients using PARTF funds from the third quarter of the fiscal year and sets a priority list of grant recipients for the fourth quarter of available funds.
July 2013
The Authority sets a priority list of grant recipients for the next two quarters of available funds from the next fiscal year.
