The Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) provides dollar-for-dollar matching grants to local governments for parks and recreational projects to serve the general public. Counties, incorporated municipalities and public authorities, as defined by G.S. 159-7, are eligible applicants.
The North Carolina Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) is beginning a new year of providing grants to local governments. The announcement package provides the basic information about this year’s grant cycle and how to apply.
The division provides assistance with the grant application process via the Recreation Resources Service (RRS) at NC State University including a workshop to be held on September 4, 2013.
To register for the application workshop, use the RRS web site: http://rrs.cnr.ncsu.edu/teleconference.html.
Since the inception of PARTF, over 375 local governments across the state have used the program to establish or improve parks for their citizens.
A local government can request a maximum of $500,000 with each application.
Select "Application Forms and Assistance" on the left menu for a PARTF application.
